Too many issues for what they are worth

Had to send both pairs I bought back in October of 2024 cause of a charging issue. BOTH my husbands and my case and headphones were getting hot during charging. They gave us both a new pair, after 4 months the left earbud started making a wind noise when it was on noise canceling or ambient sound. Didn’t make it when those were turned off. I take great care of them, they have not been dropped or beat up in anyway. Honestly makes the earbuds worthless since I can only wear one now. The whooshing noise in the left ear bud is enough to drive you crazy. These earbuds have been way more trouble than they were worth. It sucks that they only have a one year warranty because my husbands, mine and others I know that have this model, they started having issues shortly after the year. It’s almost like they degrade in quality after some updates, so that you have to buy new ones.

Mixed feelings

I purchased these earbuds about a year ago. They sound great and fit nicely in my ear. The look of them is classy. There is an app you download to pair the earbuds to your phone. The downside is that if you are unable to access that app via internet or wifi you may not be able to connect them to a new device. They dont have a pairing button on the case so the app is a must. I took a flight and was unable to connect them to another device because they were not previously paired, rendering them useless. Im also already having major issues with them holding a charge, one earbud draining as much as 80% within 30 minutes. Im performing another software update which will take about 30 minutes to complete so we will see if that fixes the problem!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the pairing process. You can still pair the earbuds without the Sound Connect app, using traditional Bluetooth pairing methods.
When you pair a second or subsequent device, you need to put the headset units into both ears, then hold your fingers to the touch sensors on both the left and right units for about 5 seconds. When the touch sensors have been operated correctly, a beep will sound. Then, you can perform the pairing procedure on the other Bluetooth device. These headphones sound absolutely great but just be prepared to buy another set within a year and a half or so after the warranty expires the battery drain is significant and they are almost useless. Probably get 20 minutes out of a full charge if that and I have another pair of Sony earbuds. That does the same thing. Please do not buy these products

They were easy for me to connect to my phone but I've had a slight problem with connecting my other electronics such as my computer. As far as just using to listen to music they're great!!

Amazing noise canceling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These ear buds sound great and the noise canceling is amazing! They were comfortable to my ear at first but after wearing them for a while they did start to hurt a bit but then all ear buds irritate my ears after wearing them a while. They are a little bulky feeling in my ears and it took a little getting used to plus I had one fall out a couple of times. The software app is good and easy to use. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star is because of the price as they are expensive but the ear buds are definitely a 5 star quality. I wish they had the silicone ear tips instead of the foam tips, I am concerned that they could come off. There are some extra earbud tips in small and large so that you can use the ones that are a fit for you. The battery life is good and lasted several hours. These are some high end earbuds with a phenomenal sound and if you don’t mind the cost then these are definitely a must have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

- Connections from the earbuds to the phone are unreliable. Sometimes only the left earbud connects, sometimes the right one, sometimes both.
My other bluetooth headphones never have these problems.
- The connection between headphones and music stream is unreliable.
When I am able to connect both earbuds to the phone (which is not easy), it is impossible to listen to music without interruptions every minute. There are hick-ups in the data stream.
I tried connecting to my Iphone 7 and my Pixel 3. Both had problems.
I have several other bluetooth headphones, these never have connection problems: Apple Ipods 2, Bose Quiet Comfort, Aftershokz. The Sony headphone is the only one with connection problems.
My other bluetooth headphones never have these problems.

If you are having Bluetooth connection issues, set the headphones to “Priority on stable connection” mode. Remove any obstacles between connecting Bluetooth device and headset. The battery life on this product is unparalleled. I threw my Apple earbuds in the garbage after one day of use with the WF-1000XM4's. The tap function is also much better than the apple pros!
