not enough suction to get all small stuff in pool. But the pump and filter is not strong enough either, so cleaner will never have enough suction to work as advertised
I had two. Both kept getting sticks in the drive gears and caused it to go in only one direction. It trashed them for the new design which is much better.
Have had mine now for about 3 years . It is wonderful! You just need to backwash your pool occasionally and let her go. We have always enjoyed an in ground pools until this last move, decided an above ground would be all we needed. The vacuum was a must at76 yrs old I just want to float not work. Thanks intex.
Vacuum is great for the price. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it tends to get stuck in spots on my 12x24 pool. Maybe it is because it is a rectangular pool and it cannot navigate the corners? It probably would work flawlessly in the circular pools. I will keep it for the price and it does a good job when it is running. Very well designed and does a good job vacuuming debris and algae from the bottom of the pool. Every now and then I just have to give it a push to get "unstuck" from the corners.
It start working as advertise for a while but then the swivel wheels stop swiveling and are dragged alone the floor of the pool and wear off the rubber ant then the machine cannot move and this is my second cleaner because when I got the first one it was after the warranty and I end up buying another before I realized what was the culprit for my machine not moving. Believe me all this machine need is a better swivel wheel and I can guaranty it will be real good. I'm sure with the expert engineers Intex can come up with a much better swiveling wheel. The I will give them a 5 star review.
The shuttle valve prongs do not last long in chlorine. They should be made of viton or silicon. The bot will only move in one direction when the seals fail.
