Awesome display, nice features. Does get a little slow because of programs that run without being needed. Gets good reception just about anywhere, unlike the iphone's troubles. All i all a very good phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

I really like this phone. Upgrading from the LG Vue to this was a huge jump. Its fast, the apps are plenty, and so far has been very reliable. I would like them to release the Andriod 2.2 platform for it, so I can use all of the benefits of Flash player.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: platform is slow to keep up with competitors

Who needs an Iphone???? This thing ROCKS! I've had it for less than a week & the things it can do vs. what an Iphone can't is amazing. Downloaded TONS of apps & haven't paid a penny. Some even better than the ones my friends paid Apple for. I'm just blown away with this phone and so is everyone that I've let take it for a test drive, including my Iphone buds. Buy this, you will not be disappointed!

Overall I found the phone very nice. What I don't like is where the on/off buttons are as they are cumbersome to operate with one hand. Again the button (zoom) when using the camera is very poorly placed as well as the camera lens. It is non intuitive to a normal camera. Some apps are temporarily unavailable on a regular basis (ESPN) on the weekends. Getting past those items, it is a fun phone with a big bright screen that makes you want to use it all of the time.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def

I have owned an iphone and find the captivate much easier to use and I'm not tied to apple products and procedures. The captivate is much more versital. Enjoy the larger screen and the bright colors!

Bought the captivate yesterday. There was a short in the search button no matter what button I pressed it went to search. Just switched it out and the new one has the same problem but to a smaller degree. If if hit the button near the top its find press near the bottom and you go to search. Saleman said it maybe a softwear issue, I think its a hardware issue but I'm keeping this one I'll live with the problem.

All in all, the phone is fast, sleek and very responsive. The two biggest drawbacks is that it requires you to use it's own method of calendar appointments and tasks when most of the known world uses outlook. This is a problem if you want to sync directly to your pc rather than use g**gle.
The other issue is that videos from websites will not play. Maybe it's the 2.1 OS, I don't know.
