STOP THROWING YOUR CASH AWAY ON IPHONE JUNK!!!

This phone is out of this world!!! I have a friend or three like everyone else does with iphones. I put my Galaxy S Captivate up to hts pricey new ip4 which is bigger, more bulky,and not to mention takes crummy pics. The GSC is 10 times tyhe phone. Its quicker than his ip4, slimmer, better made, and to top it all off with it has all the apps it does ,plus all the droid apps too!! :>) The only reason it didnt get 5 stars across the board is because ,PRICE, and no look back picture. Yeah it dont have a flash, but it still takes pics that are 10x britter clearer, cleaner, and overall just more vibrent than the ip4!!! Go to the stores n play with one, you'll walk out with one even if its not time for contract upgrade!!! P.S. no big insurence, no special packages, and 2 gig data plan with wifi, like a sore thumb, u dont want to beat it LOL!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, wifi
Cons: price i'm on fixed budget!
I would recommend this to a friend!

WOW what do I Say About this AMAZING Phone?
ummm... let me start by saying that this Phone is Amazing:
It's: Fast. Dependable, Great Quality Screen, Great Features, and Great battery Life.
There is Sometimes when the phone delays and freexes for a few seconds, but i have to blame it on myself for certain app downloads that cause the phone to lag, and delay in certain actions. but overall this phone is great for all of my needs :) thanks so much Samsung, and Google :)

Best Phone I ever had!!

I have over the years had many different phones as the features and capabilites grew,and this by far is the best in every way, i have previously had a i phone, and a blackberry and this is the "SMARTEST" smart phone ever, and it also has lots of storage, is easy to navigate, beautiful display, lots of apps,. Great media package , , even got rid of the separate usb cable buy intergrading it with the ac wall charger !! everything is just great!!!!, the only thing is i wish i it had?? is the extra thick battery along with the standard one, like my blackjack had so u could always have a fully charged battery to carry with you!! P.S. I dont think I am gonna need that i Pad after all !!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great camera video apps games +, it will make you happy!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Something better than the Iphone!

Dumped the restrictive Iphone for the more brilliant and fashionable Captivate. Installing the battery and cover can be a little challenging if you do not follow instructions…believe me it is an easy install.
The Captivate is clearly at the top of its own class when it comes to its innovative Super AMOLED 4" touch screen technology which I think is similar to HDTV and better than Iphone, you can literally see the screen clearly outdoors and the same apps I had for my Iphone look a lot better and faster in the Captivate. The design is well thought out, better than the sandwiched design of the Iphone 4
As stated earlier it is fast and very responsive and packed with features. However you have to be willing to explore these features and customizations which make for a better phone experience unlike the Iphone which lacks customizations.
I love the sound system. This little thing has a 5.1 3D surround sound albeit only through headphones, but the speaker system is equally crystal clear loud. Battery life is pretty good and standard depending on your usage. Over 5hrs talk time and over 12 days standby time.

Good, BUT Not Great.

Bottom line i like the phone.
I have 2 MAJOR issues that are serious for me and would have been deal breakers.
1. The GPS does not lock and calculate your position fast enough. Driving or walking, it dosent matter. That 1 gig processor cant figure it out. Strong signal, 3G or Edge, the Sun is shining, no obstructions and the satellites are 10 feet above you is, this phone cant find you and refresh your position quick enough, if at all.
Thats totally unsatisfactory.

2. The smart phones dosent play waves, (.wav audio format.). Thats stupid. Other Samsung Smart Phones do so im lost as to why that was excluded from the Captivates playable audio formats. For example... if you get voicemails emailed to you for personal or business purposes, you cant hear them on this device.
If your VM service dosent use audio formats AAC, MIDI, MP3, WMA, XMF, your not hearing it till you get to a desktop.
Thats ridiculous and unacceptable.
Im still waiting on some type of update that will correct these issues...
...Or the "Captivate II" "ReCapture" to come out and we can trade in/up for FREEEEE!
Other than that I LOVE THE DAM PHONE!

it was love at first sight for me. it has the looks the style, and even the brains with a 1 gig cpu!! the only thing i might change would be the size. i would shrink it just a touch, to make one hand control a little easier. man, what a beautiful display!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, 1 gig cpu, 16 gig mem
