This is my first smartphone and I love it!!!! Highly reccommend it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life

I love this phone. This is my first smart phone. I really didn't have any expectations for this phone, but I would recommend this to everyone. My husband loved mine so much that he bought one too. The camera is amazing on this phone and the apps work great. My only complaint would be to add a flash to the camera.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

i have not yet to have a bad thing to say about this phone except that i cant upgrade to 2.2 but that might be an error on my part but even without the upgrade i still love this phone. so i guess once i figure that out i will love it even more
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: hard to upgrade

own a phone similar to this and to little memory and slowed down way to fast, have slowed down yet and way more apps then the other

Cracked with 1st and only drop.

My new captivate dropped to my kitchen floor 1st and only drop and display shattered inside the gorilla glass (not cracked) and never worked since 7/2011. The phone is not very durable.
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, poor durability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Good and The Bad

It has a great display. Call quality is good. I like everything BUT the fact that there is NO voice dialing on this phone when using BlueTooth. The state that I live in requires hands free phones so I can not use my phone for outgoing calls while in the car. If I had known that I wouldn't have bought it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: no voice dialing
