This is great Android phone with the best screen I have seen on a phone. Bright, reasonably visible in broad daylight and almost impossible to scratch. The only real negative on this phone is caused by AT&T. It's not the network - I have great reception and fast data access just about anywhere I go. It's the built in AT&T applications that you cannot remove. For example, I have no intention of ever using AT&T maps. Yet not only can't I fully remove it, I find it running in the background occasionally. In fact, if I could just find an automated way of causing these "zombie applications" not to run the phone would be the best. This is the reason for only 4 stars in performance.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great camera, great video, lots of built in memory
Cons: non-removable at&t applications
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone has blown me away, the Android operating system has proven worthy of all the acclaim, and the AMOLED screen has the contrast ratio of a 2000 dollar Television. Working in electronic sales on a daily basis gave me a lot of exposure to this rollout of smartphones from all developers, and by far, the Samsung Galaxy S series destroy the competiton
I have had this phone about 3 months. The only down fall is with out the 2.2 update, it can lag a little when im trying to do too much. Movies are fantastic. Games are awsome. So much customization and free stuff to explore. Lovin it!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really thought the phone would be faster considering the processor. Live wallpaper is great but it would have been nice to able to "get more Samsung widgets" like a battery monitor for instance. other than my little quirks.. this phone is great.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not very customizable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have been a Palm user for the past 10 years. Most recently owned the Pre', which offered very simple commends that the Droid should adapt. But over the past month, I find the quality of the phone to be excellent. From the camera to emails it a nice work horse for the business person. Battery life suffers for the high end user, but nothing a car charger or office charger can't fix. I wish it would have shipped with Froyo.
