Great Phone!

Terrific overall performance. Phone works great, email and internet are easy. We get our wifi via our router at home, plus at hot spots while traveling. That saves data pkg minutes! The camera takes amazing pix, with rich color and detail, even in low light, so lack of a flash has rarely been an issue. We figured the next version would add that feature, but hadn't wanted to wait. Love the news feed, plus the multi-city weather reports.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, excellent camera

Probably the best bang for the buck out there

For full disclosure this is my first SmartPhone. I was contemplating the IPhone but since I am on Go Phone service I simply couldn't justify the cost. For less than half the price I got the Captivate which has the bonus feature of upgradeable memory. I'll call the processors and display too close to call between the two devices, and both have tons of apps for just about any profession, hobby or interest.
The display is gorgeous and the virtual keyboard is easier to get used to than I anticipated given the screen has a tad more real estate than the IPhone. My one minor gripe is that the notification tones are too quiet, I often miss texts simply because I never hear the tone (and my phone is almost always in my pocket).

Replacement for iPhone4

I've been using the iPhone4 for about a year now. If you can live without facetime - this is a great replacement phone.

The phone is designed well but has a few issues. They are manageable through normal update and power procedures so the system overall is an excellent product.

Out-does any blackberry

I personally used to be a major fan of blackberry up until a couple months ago when I began to have annoying issues with my phone. I figure it was time for an upgrade and turned away from blackberry and got this phone. I could not be anymore satisfied or impressed with how this phone compares to what I have had in the past. Its' speed, graphics and features put blackberry's to shame. Great buy even though Samsung has even better products to offer.

Best Android Smart Phone in the market

I love my Captivate. It has a brilliant screen, always looks brighter and sharper than iphones. This phone is highly customizable. I could expand the memory by adding 32 GB MicroSDHC card, making it a 48 GB phone. Data speeds in 3G is capabe of streaming 480p videos from youtube without any flaw. Most wonderful thing in my phone is battery life. It stays on for 2.5 days to 4 days based on the usage - Wi-Fi always on, at least 2 hours voice calls, no texts, active email clients. I didnt see any defects in this phone. I am having this phone for 1+ years. not even a single time the phone did crash. It fell down twice on road, but no scratches in screen and no breakage. It's a wow phone.

my 1st smart phone

This is my 3rd cell phone (yes I started late.) I switched from a totally non-smart phone and have not looked back. I hardly use my home computer anymore except to do larger amounts of typing and some home office functions. I'm still learning and exploring this phone. Has been very reliable since I bought it 4 months ago. I researched a lot of phones before settling on this one. It is great!
