I bought 4 phones for everybody in my family and 2 of the 4 have already been replaced within 2 months of owning them. First issue is upon a reboot some apps would disappear off the home screen. Second issue is the speaker stopped working. Third issue it would not retrieve yahoo mail from the main email app. Fourth issue it would not log into FB.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

cant set ringtone for messaging and voicemail via downloaded ringtones or memory card

it's ok just wish you could do ringtones for voicemail and messaging and put signature for messages.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, cant set voicemail and message ringtones

My boyfriend purchased this phone for me after my htc was broken. After researching this phone it sounded like the phone for me. Its supposed to have large storage, good camera, all the perks that everyone wants. Yet soon after I started using it I stumbled upon problems. My phone started freezing, just ending calls for no reason, wifi rarely works, can't download apps from the market, I must charge the battery multiple times daily even when not using much .. it just seems to continue to have more problems that appear everyday. I usually love samsung products, but this phone fails to compare to any phone I have had. All in all very not pleased with this product.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, short battery, freezes, calls cut out, problems restarting, wifi doesnt work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm new to the android system and smartphones, and I'm glad I chose Samsung as my first experience.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: short battery life

I have used this Galaxy phone for over 3 years, BUT now I have the Galaxy S III
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Nice Phone but GPS needs to be Fixed

This is a very nice phone with one draw back i hope they fix, that is the GPS it just doesn't work as well as the other phones i have used like the Aria. On the other hand the voice quality is excellent the reception is good. The stereo with graphic equalizer is good. It is nice being able to swap batteries and SD cards. The display is great , i did like the Aria browser it seemed to format full web pages into readable columns. The phone lags at bootup but other than that is quite responsive.
Fix the GPS and it is a great phone.
