I will never buy another Samsung phone.

This has been a good phone. Problem is, I've been through 3 already, and will probably need a 4th. The speaker quit working on the first one and every person I talked to on the phone complained of an echo in the phone, the power up button stopped working on the second one, the third one would randomly turn "airplane mode" on, disabling any data or messages from getting through to me, and the one I currently have will power up, then shut down. I will never buy a Samsung product again. The internet was slow even in 3G, the apps were slow to load, and finding updates was impossible until the other apps updated. The only good thing I liked about this phone was its design. It was slim and fit easily in my pocket.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, not durable at all
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

its been nothing but trouble and my cell provider wont even fix it!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, it never works, loose service for hours at a time not a provider i, web will not work w/o wifi

Not worth the trouble

I needed a phone bad and was due an upgrade. So very sorry I picked this phone. Poor signal so its constantly dropping calls. This phone most of the time will not let me send or receive any text messages and that is how my boss and co-workers communicate with each other. Ugh..dont have the extra cash..and have another year before I can upgrade again..to get a new phone !!
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

This phone has it all! I highly recommend it. I'm a returning college student, and this is one amazing smart phone and tool. Nice camera, room for all my school notes, it doubles as a back up usb drive too. I can review notes or pdf's, or even access and edit powerpoint presentations on the fly using the cloud. Great media player too. I can take along study music from my i-tunes library. Plenty of storage. My buddy suggested: "Look at how many reviews are 5 stars, I'm telling you it's a great phone." He was right. The easy share is nice too. This phone exceeded my expectations.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had this thing forever but had to replace it finally. It was a slim and sexy device that never failed me. She will be missed.

Nice big display..but performance is poor!!

This is my second Captivate phone! 1st just stopped working, and this one is no better. When I shut phone off, it's still on..causing the battery to be depleted. Constantly opening back to pull battery ot, because phone constantly freezes up!!! Very diappointed with this phone, and do not want another Samsung phone again!!! The camera takes nice photos, and like big color display...but very poor product!!! Would not reccomend this phone..not depenable!!

Looks great but has many issues

The phone looks great, the design is good, but there are many issues. One major one, is that it won't connect to my pc so I can load files on it (music, video, etc.). I have tried everything and nothing works, it won't recognize the phone as a drive. I left my iPhone for this, but at least on the iPhone it was so easy to move files back and forth a baby could do it. Very disappointed, Samsung.

Dont buy waste of money

The phone is a great phone dont get me wrong but the update messed everything up. My phone shuts off every five mins. And ive only had it for one week. Do not recconmend intill samsung fixes the issue
