I lost my iPhone, which was a frustrating experience, but the fact that I ended up with this phone made me even happier than before. Well worth it and still awesome after a year of my abuse.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great battery life

Had it a week....

I've had my Captivate for a week now, as a replacement for my iPhone 4g. I must say I'm completely "captivate"d by it. I loved the apps on my iPhone, but the Android operating system is quickly becoming my absolute favorite. In the week I've had it, it hasn't locked up or frozen, and trust me, I've tried!! (Couldn't say that for the iPhone on day 1)
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: none i can find yet

The Samsung Captivate

I only realized how great of a phone the captivate was once I broke it and had to get it repaired. It was gone for 2 weeks and I had to use one of my old phones while I waited.
I missed all the features like swype, touch screen, web access and the biggest feature of being able to use blue tooth with my car to call hands free. The ability to watch youtube videos and to upload them was great and who doesn't go on facebook with their phones these days.
The captivate is by far the best phone I've had and the android OS is amazing as well. Thanks Samsung, keep pumping out the great toys!

I bought this phone and from day one it has not failed me. the android market is great. it has apps that even the app store does not have. The best phone, best price, and I can not complain about this phone. highlt reccommended.

I love my Galaxy S. Two small problems however: It has froze up on me twice already but it could be because I am using it constantly because I love the features. Second, the contacts did not have a field for social media. Some phones I know have that and if you put a contact's facebook on it you could have the choice of using their facebook profile picture as the contact picture. Other than that I am loving it so far.

You can get any app you want through the market on it, you can get ringtones, games, and most of them are free. I love the way this phone is designed and the performance of it.

I just love this phone. I would recommed this phone to anyone. I hope when they come out with newer models they will have a front camera. The back camera needs a flash and when taking a picture you need to push a real button not one on the touch screen. But I have had alot of fun with this phone.

Cons: no camera on front or flash on back.
