It was an okay phone

I liked everything about this phone except the GPS functionality. It never located me correctly on the maps. Other than that, it was a nice phone.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'd like to be able to get the latest Updates

I've had the phone for a while, and I think it's great! However, I'd like an easy way to get the latest updates...regardless of the service carrier. I would like to simply be able to download updates and features over wi-fi.

Terrible phone

I have had this phone for 1 1/2 years. It did not have problems to begin with; however my husband's same phone had problems from the beginning. The phone freezes; it will not let me dial out; it will not perform. I have to take out the battery; turn it on again, then start all over. It is a royal pain! I will not choose this phone again. I have been told to reset it back to factory settings & start all over again.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The phone is great loved it but three months after I got it the speaker went out came back on and out again.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: built-in speaker

Samsung Captivate is a smart phone with excellent features. Specially the touch wiz is one of the best in this range of phones. Its currently on Android 2.3.5.(Gingerbread). The battery life lasts for a day and a half depends on the voice call you make. Its also called Samsung Galaxy S
Overall would suggest this is the best phone in the market at this price range. Off-course no comparison to the latest release by Samsung Galaxy S-3.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
