I got my Samsung Captivate six months ago and I love this phone. It has great features and lot of great apps. I prefer this android phone because of its excellent display, sleek & slim design and light weight.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, applications
Cons: unresponsive sometimes

Great Value for Entry-Level Android Phone

Fantastic phone for the price. Great features, really intuitive interface and of course the power of Android's operating system behind it. This is a very nice, feature-packed phone for someone just getting into the smartphone market. Only regrets I have are that I didn't wait for the 4G version with the 8.0 MP camera and flash, but I would have paid quite a bit more for that model. But like I said, this is a FANTASTIC Android phone with a ton of features and the quality I've always found in Samsung's phones for a very good value.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: not 4g, no camera flash

I switched from the iPhone 3G to the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate last year and I haven't looked back.I love the fast processor, Swype, the easy to use interface, and the long battery life. I also like the size of the phone, it fits easily into my pocket. The screen is amazing as well as the sound. I really like the Galaxy line and I am planning on upgrading to the Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

I love the Captivate. Fully featured and user friendly. The camera is the best out there. You cant believe it's a mobile device that took the pictures. The video is predictably grainy. Sound is much better than average. The screen brightness and color is great.Battery life is average. But can be increased by ajusting screen brightness. Not overly packed with bloatware. Screen is sensitive and predictable. Sure there are newer and better Samsung mobile devices out now. But this is still a great phone a year later.
