This phone has been a great value. The screen presents very vivid colors, which is probably the best feature of the phone. Streaming video such as Netflix and YouTube is very enjoyable, smooth and the picture is just great. Reasonably fast processing speeds, but battery life has been very poor through three different batteries on two different devices. Others though have gotten better battery results, perhaps it is the case that both units I have owned were defective? The technology is a bit dated now and I'm looking forward to the next in the Galaxy S line, but this has been a solid phone for the price and features.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: poor battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Makes the Best Products

Almost every electronic in my home is Samsung from TVs, monitors, Blu-ray players and my cell phone. They are all great. The only problem I recently experienced is with the phone after I upgraded to Gingerbread. The performance is not good. But I blame that on the OS not the product. Otherwise I am a very happy customer! Thanks Samsung! Now I just want to upgrade to the next phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, adjustable display
Cons: not good with the upgrade to the os

The Samsung Capitvate was the first Android-powered phone I ever had.
I loved it. The screen was well built, the phone felt really thin in my hand, not to mention I couldn't feel it when I had it in my pocket.
This phone, was the foundation for the soon to come out, Samsung Infuse 4G, and the Samsung Galaxy S II (since this was a Galaxy S phone...)
I loved it, now that it has been upgraded to GingerBread Android, it's a whole lot better, more apps that you can use, better battery life (not that it was bad), camera had more options.
For a simple Android phone, this would be the phone I would definately go with, other than the Galaxy S II, this phone can be compared to any 4G phone, and it'd be about the same.

I have dropped this phone numerous times and twice in the toilet and its still kickin'. The durability could sell itself. My 14 year old boy has one too and he has had no problems what so ever. BUY THIS PHONE ...WINNING!!!!

I loved my Galaxy and used it like I've used no other phone. Sadly it took a shattered screen for the cause while out adventuring and photographing.

Nice design, poor GPS

Device has nice, Girgio Armani design and good quality, but GPS never locks.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
