I got this phone because I hated my Mythic. I only got the Mythic cuz my insurance did not have anymore Eternities! I would get emails from Samsung all the time so I saw one with the new Galaxy S Phone for ATT, did my research, and I fell in love. I save up and went out and got it! I love it! The screen is awesome, the touchscreen doesnt lag at all when I text, Colors are brilliant, speed for internet is crazy fast, Sound is totally awesome! The only thing I have some problems with is that when I try to go to home if I am in an application, it sometimes lags, but I think its the application not the phone and when I hit the back button, It sometimes registers the serach button instead. But other than that, AWESOME phone, Worth every Penny, My cuzin has it as well and loves it and I am trying to get my mom on it also!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use

I absolutely love this phone! I got so tired of iOS and all the hype around it and tried android. And I am so glad I did! I love the design, it is super sleek! It is also very fast, and the screen is just absolutely gorgeous! I am so glad I got this phone!

I have owned several types of smart phones from palm trio to Blackberry and I also owned the iPhone 3GS prior to purchasing the Captivate. I enjoy the ease of use the simple user interface and the clean design. Although the battery life is kind of killing most of my enthusiasm, I would hope that new releases of the Android software can address this. Since I upgraded to Froyo I have found that when I turn off the WIFI sometimes the 3G does not come back on so I have to either reboot or go in and re-activate cellular data, so I am hoping the next software upgrade will fix this.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had my phone for about 6 months now and I LOVE IT!! I have loaded and unloaded tons of different apps and it still works just as good now as it did out of the box. I've also dropped it numerous times and it's held up very well. My mom and brother both have an iPhone and it just can not compare to the Captivate. They are constantly messing up. Not my phone though. There next purchase will be a captivate and yours should be too!!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

I love this phone

I love this phone. I had a few problems with signal strength at first but after resetting to factory settings twice (the second time I think was my pc's fault. It went crazy and the phone was connected) it has 4-5 bars all the time and my house has a tin roof. I had an iphone before and would never have thought about getting anything samsung. (bad experience in the past) I never get bored with this phone. There is too much to play with and change. The reason for the 4 stars is
1.) I'm kind of a penny pincher. I guess I think everything should be cheap. I had to pay full price also because I was not due for an upgrade yet
2.) The microphone hole is so small that sometimes the case will move and things sound muffled to the other party or it gets covered with your finger if you're not carefull.
This bothers me but most people do not have an issue with this because they use blue tooth or other headsets and don't actually use the phone itself.

I am excited to have a smartphone. Today I needed to take pics and my digital camera died, so I used the camera on the phone and I am so pleased that I feel like my digital camera is not needed. I was a little disappointed that 2.2 isn't out yet but hope it will be soon. This is a great phone for whatever you like to do

So far i love it. just got it today and i love the way it works. Its kinda like an iphone, but better! I dont have to pay the expensive insurance for it and also i get to do a lot more with it other than an iphone. i love the way it types and also the way you can view websites on wifi so quickly!!
