Loved the Galaxy

This is my first smart phone that I have purchased and I was happy with the results. The phone works great, all programs work fine on it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: no front camera
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was my first Android smartphone and I was not let down. Samsung and the Captivate are reliable, robust, very customizable, and allows the user so much choice and capability to do so many things. I now own the Galaxy S II and am enamored and floored constantly at its technology. Samsung FTW!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, too many to list

This phone was great at first. It was my first adroid exposure. I cannot say I was all that impressed. The phone locks up continually. The wi-fi function no longer works, battery life is no longer existent. It will not accept an internet connection. My wife's Iphone has no issues, neither does all of my wireless connections. AT&T has a whole bunch of useless charge per use software clogging up the phone memory. The screen and sound are great. That's about it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, locks up., very short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great looking phone, lacking some techie features...

I've had the Captivate for over a year now, it has performed well. The best part of the phone is it's design and physical appearance. The worst part is what it's lacking such as a front-facing camera, 4G expansion radio or Android 2.3 update.

Biggest complaint is the GPS but I think that might be more of an AT&T thing. My last phone was a Samsung Rant through Sprint and the GPS worked perfectly. The speakers are somewhat lacking and the volume doesn't go high enough. I also miss having a slide qwerty...I don't text as much and am much slower at texting with the virtual keyboard. Great screen, super camera (I think it takes better pics than my Nikon CoolPix and the phone doesn't even have a flash!)
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, great camera
Cons: poor gps, sound is sucky

nice phone for it's price. too much plastic in the shell design though. backside gets scratched too easily. speakers are kind of weak.. compared to other smart phones.

My Captivate still working fine, The froyo 2.2 ,it's ok with some occasional lock screen problem,that require remove the battery to turn it off. the the web search key that still have the same problem,activating the web by itself with any touch of the hand. Battery a don't last if you keep the wi-fi and Bluetooth on. Overall a great phone ...
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: not available - android 2.3 update
