This is my first "smartphone" and my first experience with Android. I'm very impressed. Lots of cool features, easy to use, the display is amazing. Browsing websites and streaming video is very smooth. The camera takes better pictures than my digital camera. It took me a little while to get used to the touch screen for texting, but now it's a breeze. Couldn't be happier with the phone!
Love this phone! Truly great product! Only issues the swype typing is wonderful, but it saves your the words you swype and you makes typos with swype just like everything else but the only way to delete the saved words from your dictionary is when it prompts you to do so and thats annoying. I wish you can edit your dictionary at any time to clean up your typos like blackberry allows you to do. The screen freezes occasionally but not that often. The battery life isn't after like 6 months my phone dies quickly within 5-6 hours. Just needs to new model with a few tweaks to the first model. But overall this is a great phone.. Absolutely love it! I wouldn't want any other phone!! Two thumbs up!!!
I love the new features and Apps on here.. i'm still learning the phone..its like I learn a new thing everyday. My daughters and granddaughters wants the phone now.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, need bluetooth voice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Phone and app performance good/GPS is AWFUL

Most of this phone from the lack of freezing on apps, and the calls is fine. I also try to use the GPS. Invariably with BOTH my phone and my wife's (both the same model) we are told we are on a side street, and that we must make a u-turn, then the familiar mantra of "GPS SIgnal Lost" is heard. I took my captivate on a hike with me with "Everytrail", an app that has worked nearly flawlessly and accurately on a sony, but on the captivate, my 5 mile hike was recorded as 11, because the gps signal dropped repeatedly and caused a weird series of zig-zags taking across highways we never crossed. If you never use GPS, it is an awesome phone. If you even THINK of using googlemaps or any other GPS app, FORGET IT!!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: gps doesn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure if you can call using voice command and have not been able to find it in the manual. Otherwise, slow learning, but getting there!
Pros: Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!
