Thrilled initially whe I got this phone.Pros-excellent quality and picture.Big cons.... frequent crashes even openoing up mail,making a call. Battery life dismal, not even for couple of hours....I am disappointed after all the initial excitement
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, crashes on itself, poor battery, poor reception

Cannot Recommend Until Glitches are Improved

I love this phone in theory. In practice, it's not working. I'm on my third one because the other two shut themselves off CONSTANTLY. This phone did well for about 8 months aside from software problems. I cannot update software..just won't happen. I get a message telling me I can't try again for 24 hours. I have NEVER been able to update the software. Now, the phone constantly enters search mode all by itself. In the middle of anything, I'm suddently in the search screen.
The phone has amazing potential, but it's unreliable.
Fixing the glitches would be great. Additionally, I'd like to see front facing camera with flash and zoom. Then it would be perfect! PLEASE Samsung, get it fixed or I'm switching to the Iphone!

has great features but no matter what i do i cant retrieve or send mms messages. ive asked everyone, walked through the tutorials and submitted emails.. waiting to hear back. love everything about it other than that

I got this phone in sept. of 2010.and this makes the second one. at&t replaced the first one after just 5 months because of poor performance,freezing up,very slow responce to commands.after about 4 months the wifi stopped working,made a call to att tech,they took me throught a 45 min.ordeal but it got wifi back on.now the phone starting the poor performance thing again.I am a 55 year old that is very easy on my phones.and may have 4 or 5 apps running. back to making phone calls to att again. Yes i an not happy with this phone.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, speaker phone is worthless

Need warranty

I purchased the phone in January, it is now Sept and I have had to have the phone replaced twice. Between freezing and having turn off, remove the battery and restart, to not being able to download pictures to my pc or SD card or delete them off of the phone.... On the first phone, the AT&T rep could not even dial 611..... and it took them about an hour on the second phone to realize the phone was bad. I like the phone but have had nothing but issues with it.... make sure you get and use the warranty with this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, too many problems

Phone freezes up during usage

I am having a major problem ever since I upgraded the phone to 2.2 Android. I will be in the middle of texting, searching the web, a phone call, or even just have the phone on next to me and it simply freezes up. Just like when your computer locks up and you have to reboot it. Unfortunately my only resolve is to open up the case, and remove and replace the battery. I've had to do this as many as 6 times in a day. What a pain! And there are many times that the phone will tell me that I don't have any Network service. Not that I don't have any bars. That I don't have a network. Now that may not be my phone but my Network provider but it's still another pain when I need to make or receive a call for business and it tells me I can't make a call like I haven't signed up for any service at all.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: not performing as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
