I have had an apple iphone for several years and swore that nothing would ever make me switch from the iphone. That was until I decided to get an android phone!!! My son had upgraded his phone to a Samsung Captivate and I just fell in love with it!!! It is so easy to use and faster than the iphone!
Couldn't be more pleased so far. Does everything I ask of it and more. Just beginning to find out what it will do. Love the screen. Have not problems with touch capability so far.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: a little big for some
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only just scratched the surface of what this phone is capable of doing. I really appreciate the freedom that I have found in the android operating system as compared to the Iphone, which I had previously.
Absolutely love this phone. I am glad that I made the captivate my first smartphone I have owned as it has been easy to grow with and learn about it's advanced technology. I consider my self a "electronics nerd" now. This phone keeps me "captivated" as there is always something new to try out or learn...
Difficult to learn how to use. Numerious continual problems. No way to restore aps without total reload. Third party back up of Phone numbers, calander works about half the time after an hour of messing with it. I consider myself very knowledgeable in most cases. The Iphone gets better recetion, is far easier to use and has a very good system of backup and restore. You can do more with this phone but be prepared to be aggravated
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, some nice apps
Cons: poor sound, very hard to see in sunlight
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

not durable enough. i had to replace it about 4 times. still better than a i phone
I have had 2 of these phones, first one the speaker that allows you to hear it ring went out! Constantly drops calls, screen won't stay locked and if you happen to touch it to your face it mutes, turns the speaker phone on or goes to all sorts of other screens. It freezes frequently, sometimes just goes dead for no apparent reason. It has hurt my business and I would not encourage anyone to purchase this phone that intends to conduct their business through it.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, not designed well, hard to hear, buttons do not work properly
