Samsung Captivate - GET IT!

I love this phone. my wife has always complained to me that i get tired of my phones too fast and am always looking for a new one. Not after getting the Captivate! This phone is awesome! It was fast when i first got it, after downloading and upgrading it to Android 2.2(froto), it is even faster! The only problem i have had with it is sometimes after i am using 3G to listen to Pandora and i need to make a phone call, the phone part of the phone doesn't work right away and i have to re-dial 2 or 3 times. Otherwise, the phone is perfect!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color

I like the phone overall. I'm somewhat disappointed in the sound quality and the inability to assign ring tones to specific callers like I could with my old phone. If you know how to do this, please comment back.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: poor sound, can't add personal ringtones

Has cut off issues

The phone is great except it cuts off by itself randomly. I am on my third replacement phone and others with the captivate have the same issue. Other than the cutting off it is a great phone.

Cons: cuts off randomly

Love the phone! its been grate and duable. onley down fall was battery life.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life, could not update with 64 bit win 7

Very easy to learn all the features. The only complaint is there is no flash for the camera.

Great alternative to the !phone

Even after a year I really like this phone because of the ease of use and features. The only real problems I have had are with my service provider not the phone. The only things I wish I could change is a longer battery life and it is so slippery. I had to get a good case because the material the phone is made of almost made me drop it all the time. Make sure you get a good screen protector too it is well worth it to protect your investment. Even if you got a good deal think replacement cost. I can text, talk and look things up on my phone and it does great. I did buy an additional battery for days I will be online a lot or taking lots of pics but with the other phone you can't do that :-) Great variety of apps available and you can do so much with this wonderful display and I LOVE swype my friends with the other phone wish they had it. Oh and I have 2 young kids that steal this to play games and so far they haven't even scratched it. i would definately buy this phone again

I love this phone.....easy to use, easy to hear, lightweight. My 8 yr old can even use all the functions. In fact, I believe I am becoming obsessed with this product.
