Great Phone, lousy software or should I say software agreement.

First of all I have 5 of these phones. The build quality and feature set is incredible for the price point. That said,the mini Kies application is a joke. If they could fix this little issue Samsung would have a stellar product.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: software, updates
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was easy to change from iPhone to Android, except that some of the apps I had could not be found or are not avilable for Android.
I liked having Pandora continue to play so I can listen to music while going on other apps. It loads apps much faster than the iPhone, too, and doesn't freeze up when I speed up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

While I enjoy my Captivate, there are some things that drive me crazy. The touch screen is sometimes far too sensitive causing you to input a character other than you intended by just coming close to the screen. It is also very difficult to home at times. You may have to go to the previous page and back 2 or 3 times before it will accept the home command. Call and camera quality are excellent. The phone is proving to be very durable, and is relatively easy to use. I do wish it came with a printed manual instead of the online only version. That doesn't print very well at all. In bright sunlight the display is almost invisible.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color
Cons: touchscreen too sensitive

Since I have received this phone it has had many problems. First of all it turns itself off even during a phone call so you are unaware when it is on without constantly checking to make sure it is on. This phone has poor signal strength and drops calls. Battery does not last all day if you use your phone alot.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poor battery, poor signal strenth, no flash on camera
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this phone for almost a year and I absolutely love it!!! Sometimes it loads slow, but I think it's because of needing the software upgrade. My husband just got this phone today and he loves it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Love everything about the Captivate. Not a single issue. Lives up to its reputation. I would take the Captivate over an iPhone anytime.
