Love everything about the Captivate, other than the fact that it has no camera flash.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no flash
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works like a charm. It initially had GPS issues, but htose were corrected in the patch. Now operates exactly how I'd like. STill a bit of a hassle to use with my computer, but thats not my phones fault.

Worth the wait

When I was eligible for an upgrade, I was looking at different phones. I came across the Captivate and fell in love. I even took a picture of the phone from the website just to remember.
Over the months before the upgrade, I looked at other phones, but kept coming back to the Captivate. The design was what I was looking for, the applications were what I was looking for. Just something simple as being able to set the alarm a week ahead was a plus!
Call quality is great, music plays wonderfully, ringtones are loud from several rooms away. Battery life is great.
I waited months to get the Captivate and now that I have it, I can die a very happy person.

I really love my Captivate but it does have a few issues that are worth living with. My emails won't send out, the speakers are not loud enough, it occasionally freezes causing me to have to take the battery out to reboot. Everything else works perfectly and I love how the text feature works in threads!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: speakers are not loud enough

Amazing Voice to Text

Of all the terrific features of this smartphone, the most amazing is the ability to ask questions verbally and see the right answers come up within seconds. Just incredible!

This is the best phone I have owned. Easy to use. Great clear screen. You got to have one. You will love it too. Games are great. Android application easy access. Easy maneuvering through out the applications. Takes great pictures. Should have bought one a lot sooner.

I couldn't ask for a better phone... I just miss the awesome FLASH they used to have for the Phone Camera!!

Very disappointing

When I first got the phone it seemed great, but when I discovered it lacked basic features (voice dialing) and needed a software upgrade I was also disappointed when it took 5 months to get the upgrade Android 2.2. the phone freezes way too much! Now can't connect to wi-fi! Should have bought an IPhone!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
