I am on my 5th Captivate and am so disappointed. I LOVED the phone so much that I wouldn't exchange it for many months for fear they would give me something different. Now I am ready for a different phone. Sorry. I still love everything it does but when it comes to a phone that I can depend on, this one fell flat. Even after updating to the 2.2 the issues only got worse. $200 is a lot to pay for a phone on an upgrade for all the issues I have had with them. I loved the big screen. The bigger the better for me.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, too many issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I own iPhone, iPad, Droid(HTC, CAPTIVATE S), and tried Windows 7. I like all of them but I am leaning to ward SUMSANG - Captivate S. Camera, battery life, performance, and the only issue I have is spell check on email is a problem.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera is great

I was very excited to get this phone. However, within 3 months, I have had to replace one model and the new one freezes also. Not to mention the very poor battery life. Guess I am stuck with this for another 1+ year.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, processor freezes, short battery life

Best Phone Yet

I previously had a Motorola Backflip, this is a big change for me, but I enjoy it!
The only con is the camera without a flash... I rely on my phone camera a lot.
The screen seemed fragile at first but as I have carried it around it seems less fragile.
The colors are amazing and I enjoy the quality of the graphics.

The phone freezes constantly, the speaker is in the back and the volume is not good when engaged. The buttons on the bottom don't always respond in a timely manner.
I do love the color and graphics on the phone. However the camera is below average. Some of the preinstalled software seems clumsy and takes a long time to upload. Can't figure out how to use the front facing camera.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
