I've had this phone for almost a year and it is the most outstanding phone I've ever had. People who see it are amazed at the screen quality, the light weight and the speed. The Android Market makes it fun to find new apps to download that make the phone even more functional for business or personal use and the connectivity to the web is so fast and easy. I've used the Google search function a lot and it has a voice option that is very accurate. I would highly recommend this phone to everyone.
This phone is awesome right out of the box. It has a great form factor and is very light. The touch screen is smooth and the keyboard is very responsive. The hardware speed is just what you would expect from the galaxy s line. Keep up the good work Samsung.

Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: up date os

I have had this phone since late Sept 2010. It was my first smartphone after years of the old flip phones. In the last 30 days I have really had the opportunity to start using all of the power of this little guy and really appreciate what Samsung has done here. With the Froyo (2.2) firmware upgrade, it took on a new personality. The 4" screen is great, now I am used to the nav buttons on the bottom, I find them very useful. The MarketPlace has some very good apps (free). Everything I want and some great discoveries too. The slimness, low weight general feeling of a finely built tool is very satisying. With heavy use the battery is consumed in about 8 hours. Light use, or idling with 3g only (no wireless), auto-sync off and it will just keep on ticking 24 hours or more. Texting is easy particularly in landscape mode (keyboard is rendered with larger buttons). I got the Samsung charger/second battery. If you get to the yellow batt state, just pop in the charged spare, start the depleted batt charging and you can keep going and going and going...
After figuring out how to tweek my apps and how I wanted to run everything, it is very easy to use and has awesome features that I never had before this phone.
This phone has performed fairly well. I recently updated my firmware to version 2.2 and the phone has seemed a little quirky. Outside of that the phone has been great. Features are easy to access and there are apps for every need in the android market.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: quirky since firmware upgrade
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love this phone. My fiance is a Samsung aficionado, and said I should try the phones. The speed is incredible. The display is beautiful. The camera takes beautiful pictures, but I wish it had a flash. The battery dies really quickly, but it doesn't bother me much. I always have a charger handy. I'm looking forward to upgrading to the Infuse. Samsung, you have a new devotee!
