Capable & Fast but somewhat lacking on design

I have recently switched to a Droid and am loving all of the customization. This phone in particular has a beautiful display, great button response time, amazing color depth and the quality of a Samsung phone. The Cons? Design. The back side has a metal casing that doesn't quite fit as smoothly as I would like. It also brings about the issue of scratching. Luckily, all of this can be avoided with a cheap case. For the speed, display, power & customization... the Captivate is easily worth the money.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, blazing fast
Cons: case design
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Phone for the first 2 months

Great phone for the first 2 months but then it losses a lot of its capabilities tried to use it to go from greer, sc to gainsville, ga and it ended up getting me lost. GPS is spotty at best and doesn't always work on long distances (past 30 miles). the phones reception isn't up to snuff and it takes a long time to load stuff. for a beginner user this is great but the advanced user should by something more reliable.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, bad reception, poor option settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lots of features - poor battery life

I really like the screen resolution, Android 2,2, applications and wealth of features. Unfortunately, in order to have your battery last more than 6 - 8 hours you need to turn off all those features; GPS, wi-fi, Bluetooth, background, auto-sync and screen brightness. So, like most things in life there are trade-offs.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, android 22, large screen, lots a features
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good phone, light weight, speakers could be a little better
Best phone I've ever owned. I'm sure there is already a million better phones out now, but I like this one.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, very responsive (touch-screen)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love using the phone; great color and display. Messaging and calls are no problem. Camera is excellent. Problem with battery running down consistently and e-mail sync with office is lacking in consistency.
the battery life is kind of a downside to the phone. i have downloaded many task killers but all are to confusing so i end up deleting them. the phone also shuts off every so often sometimes twice a day. it seems to only do it when i have a full charge on my battery. the phone is great other than that
