Since I have had this phone (my first android phone actually), I've had to jump through loops. It's been good and bad. The first week I got it, I had to reset it many times due to it not syncing correctly. Then once it was up and running, it became laggy.. Really slow, froze up. Then there were glitches with the search..it would randomly open up on it's own.
Now it's a matter of not wanting to update to Froyo..and as well no longer functioning.. My phone won't turn on at all. I like this phone, but I just wish that it didn't come with so many complications.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, freezes often, slow
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

everything about the phone is awesome highly recommended.
Gotta love swype. Samsung Captivate provides everything I need in order to run my busy schedule, be my personal assistant, and provide me with activities, such as reading (amazon kindle app) and listening to music (pandora radio app), when I have some relaxing time.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent phone. The main problem I have is the phone surface is slick and is easy to slip out of my hand. Took forever to get updated to Froyo. Love the utility of the phone. Will upgrade to a dual core, 4G Android, with dual camera when I am eligible for upgrade!
Cons: Not high def, takes too long to get firmware updates
I would recommend this to a friend!

My previous cell was a refurb Solstice. After two flawless years of using that one, I realized I wanted a higher megapixel camera, a larger display and easy social network access. So many people said the iFone was the way to go but I feel after comparing the two, this one was way cooler and made me feel less like everybody else. The battery life does drain rather quickly but if you arent a constant texter, caller or web user (I only use thoe features about 2-3 hours a day) and adjust the settings for how often it checks in with FB (and other data accessing applications) and dont use the living wallpapers, you shouldnt have a problem with it. Oh and I love the Swype texting and Speech to Text features! So cool! *Dont text and drive!*
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the phone compared to Iphone i had but the battery stinks. When i take it off the charger when i leave work at 4 or 4:30pm I get the battery low notification by 9 or 9:30pm really? Even the Iphone battery would last me a whole day.
