Awesome Phone!

I have had 3 of this phone already since December. I had gotten a refurbished one that had some problems so I exchanged it for another one. The next phone I had was fine until I updated it and then it kept shutting off, so I did all of the trouble shooting and found that phone had issues as well so I exchanged it again and now third times a charm? I really like this phone, it has everything except 4g but all the same it is a really good phone if you get one without problems...
It's better than my old Samsung flip phone, but doesn't live up to the hype. Battery life is OK, I get a day's worth of charge out of it after 5 months. Bought a charging station w/ 2nd battery, which helps. It seems to struggle to connect to the internet at times. Sometimes after trying a few different internet apps, it works, but sometimes it's just faster to reboot (power off/on) it which isn't very fast either. I keep hoping for an Android OS upgrade to 2.2 or higher, but that doesn't appear to be coming anytime soon. All in all the phone's average. Should've waited a little longer for the next generation.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

The screens appears to be more beautiful than the Iphone in terms of brightness and color. Simple and easy to learn how to use the phone. I love the apps created by both google and samsung for the phone which are both interesting and useful. The live Wall paper is another attractive thing about this phone.
However, in my opinion the processor might not be as good as the Iphone as sometimes it tend to freeze up more frequently.
Another bad part would be the samsung kies does not work for this phone yet.
I've had my Captivate for a few months now, and I have had a great user-experience. It's like having a personal theater in the back seat of your car. And the Android platform means you've got so many apps to choose from that you'll never run out of new things to teach your Captivate to do!
Ive got to admit i have always liked the design of Samsung Mobiles all the way back to my old D500 I have recently got a new Galaxy s and what a phone Its Fantastic from the ease of using and getting Apps down to the Panaramic and wide shot photos it can take i was amazed to be able to talk to my phone to send a txt message who thought of that a great idea. The ease of use for us older aged users is spot on its so easy to use it i dont even get lost now coz of the built in sat nav. One Criticism!!!!!! im having no luck connecting it to my laptop via USB without using sofrware download where as with most of my previous you just plugged em in and it was done drag and drop i dont want to be made to have to put software into my laptop to make them pair up other than that a perfect phone for me

This is a great phone and has great features. However, if you do not download an app killer the life mysteriously disappears from the battery. I'm impressed with the screen and all the apps that you can download but I'm not a fan of the reception that it gets. I have a lot of dropped calls and my messages often fail to send. I'm sure that could be a problem with the provider though. Sometimes it tends to shut itself off for no reason and sometimes it freezes up. But I never get bored when I have it. It's also one of the more durable phones I have ever had!
