So far it is a good cell phone and works great as a smart phone. It does eveything I want it to do. The end.

Best Phone I've Owned

I've owned the phone for about a month and a half. It's the best phone I have owned. The display is excellent and the size is big, but not too big. Phone is really thin and fits perfectly in your hand. Easy to text with and the Android Operating system is excellent. The only problem with the phone is the battery. You have to charge it every night and sometimes during the day. Occasionally the phone shuts itself off, but other than that the phone is great.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery

I'm so happy I chose this phone over the iphone. This Galaxy S Captivate is a computing and tasking beast. does all I want to do and more. The new 2.2 update makes this even better. AllShare is becoming one of my favorite tools on my phone, works seamless with my Samsung Smart Tv.

overall this is a great phone,, i have had no issues, samsung has done an outstanding job with this product. If i had to spot 1 bad thing i would probably say that the only issues i had was with the ringtones it kind of took me awhile to learn how to set it but other than that its an amazing phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great feel, outstanding graphix on outside, really bright, good resolution

Great phone with A Few Complications

I have had this phone for two weeks now and I really enjoy it. All the nifty things that come with a smartphone like apps for anything imaginable is standard. I love being able to customize everything. I consider myself somewhat current with technology and I've had a few issues...not sure if it's an android or the phone issue itself 1) setting up my outlook email account took entirely too much work 2) i had to reset my home wifi settings in order for the phone to allow me to access the internet. (It showed connected to the network but didn't function) 3) The phone will lag. I figure the slow responses were due to many things downloading at once (i refuse to use a live background now) and therefore that's a user issue not a phone issue. My other problems were solved by finding solutions online. I was very disappointed on having to find a way to connect to my home wifi network since my iPod touch and my sisters Iphone connect with a breeze. My lil cousin's droid connected fine as well. All is good because I did find solutions, if i had not my captivate would be back at the store and I'd settled for an iphone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, notifications
Cons: wifi connection issues

Underestimated and great device
