Quick and Versatile Smartphone

This is my first Android based smartphone and I enjoy the speed and customizations available with this phone. Call quality is great and the AT&T network works 99 percent of the time. The only small complaints I have are that the screen tints a little on the blue side and sometimes the phone "thinks" I'm pressing the Search button instead of the Menu button. Otherwise, it's a great piece of hardware at a great price.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, fast

Awesome Droid

The quality of this phone is incredible. Feels solid and reliable, not heavy or bulky. Reception is great everywhere I go, even for downloading apps and video. The AMOLED screen is awesome; clear and vibrant colors. Very helpful apps and easy to configure for your own personality. This is a mini computer that you can make phone calls from. I love my Droid, thanks Samsung for making me such a happy customer.

does not have come with andriod 2.2 and usb upgrade does not work properly
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, software

I have a motorola droid phone for personal use, and just upgraded my work cell phone to the captivate galaxy s. It blows my motorola out of the water! Love this phone. Only drawback so faf is no flashing light indicator if have messages etc waiting, and camera has no flash. But for all the features on this phone, I am more than happy to overlook these minor drawbacks.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no flash for camera, no indicator light if messages pending

this phone is awesome. I really wanted the blackberry torch and my husband told me to look into the captivate. I was sold as soon as I turned it on. In my opinion, this phone is better than the iphone, which my husband has. Finally a phone worth its value.

I Love My Phone. Finally

I have been waiting for this phone for years, to rub in the face of my /\pple using friends.
The only con I had for this phone is that I'm a large man and my hand is bigger than the phone. The phone was too small for me, too thin, and my hand went over the sides.. with the sensitivity of THIS screen, I'd press the side buttons or some such.
Fixed by applying a seidio rugged 5 piece protective cover.
Now it looks super testosterone awesome in my jeep as the head unit to my stereo. samsung does two things very well for a long time: chips and displays. not one complaint in either dept.. I did flash to froyo. and rooted, but that's it.
