My first smartphone - Great so far

Came from an old Samsung with only a camera. What a switch to the future! I have to admit I do like it, after telling all my friends -

Can it get any better?¿

I've had this phone since it released and it did have its issues (mainly not having the upgrade to Froyo 2.2 until just recently). Now that the update has been released I couldn't be happier. The phone is Ultra Light, the 4" screen is perfect size for a smartphone, and the screen quality is amazing. 16gb internal memory + expandable memory (take that iPhone) is also a nice feature. I'd recommend this phone to anybody.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: could be cheaper now

Not as good as i expected. Been an iphone owner and have to say iphone is much smoother os. This phone lags on email and many other areas but the bigger screen is why I got away from iphone. And the way itunes get their hooks in your wallet!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Captivate smashes the iPhone

I am a long time user and owner of MAC/Apple products. I have owned a iPhone since the first version and it clearly set the standard, but along comes the Captivate and in my opinion makes the iPhone seem like a standard flip phone. Great performance, superb screen quality, it does it all.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive

phone could be great if we got the support like htc phones do. I was told 2.2 came out half a year ago and the captivate is still 2.1. and 2.3 dropped this week.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Was "sold" this phone. Did not like at first. Cannot survive wihout it now. It is the perfect phone for me. Only thing missing from this phone is the 2.2 O/S.
