I love this Phone!

I always want to be different, so as soon as i saw this phone I was in love. Personally the iphone could do nothing for me once I seen the phone. I have nothing bad to say about this phone. I talk alot and the battery last a long time.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color

This phone has it all and then some

From the moment I received this phone I was in love. I love the design, size, shape and all the apps. The display is crisp, sharp, bright and beautiful. The display is also LARGE. It's light-weight and the android os is powerful and fast. It's so easy to use and operate. There is absolutely nothing not to like. It also charges fast and holds a charge. One of the best features is the wi-fi option. If you want a phone with all the bells and whistles, this is the phone for you. You can do anything and everything. The camera is a work of art, clear pictures and effects and HD video.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, wi-fi, size of display, camera
Cons: no flash

Excellent Phone

Excellent android phone available.. Things I like about it are.. Amazingly bright Super AMOLED Display.. Android OS.. Slim and light design with mat finish back and gun metal rim..
The display is so smooth.. I can go on hours reading book on it.. and is definitely big enough for a smartphone.. but I would really prefer a bigger display.. for ebook reading..
Being a smartphone, it lacks a Second/Front Camera.. I found battery life and performance are better than other phones I looked.. but in case of these features always more is better..
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, android, super amoled display
Cons: no second/front camera

Good phone, Bad Performance

when i first got this phone i really enjoyed it, it has a lot of nice features, good design, very pretty phone. But as i kept on using it the more it lagged on me the home screen freezes and i can't seem to update to Android 2.2 which would be great considering that it might help with the bugs and freezes

Cons: Did not meet expectations, bugy, lags

Good and not so...

My wife has an iPhone 4 and this phone compares well as far as features. However, as other reviewers have noted, it lacks a front camera and although new Captivates are shipping with Android 2.2 ("Froyo") mine still has v2.1 it came with in Nov 2010.
Also, I have a legal, digital copy of the movie "Inception" and the phone is unable to play it. I found out it cannot play any movie with DRM protection, despite your having a legal digital copy.
Finally, I have both hotmail and gmail accounts. The gmail account updates with new mail almost immediately while the hotmail account sometimes takes days for new mail to appear. Maybe because it's using Google's OS?
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no drm movie support, slow hotmail updating

everything is great about this except for a few things
-multi media messages show pictures in slide show instead of individual pics. very annoying to me
-i bought this phone with the anticipation of android 2.2 being released for it very soon and still has not been released. i believe this to be a carrier issue and not samsung.
-the speaker volume is not very high when on call and using the handset. speaker phone volume is nice. and the ringtone volume is to low. i am around loud machinery all day and sometimes miss calls because of this.

other than those dissapointments the phone has great response time, plenty of memory and most of the time when i find something i want it to do but doesnt; there is an app to do it.
over all samsung has come a very long way with the galaxy s phones and i am 98% satisfied with the product.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, many features
Cons: low handset speaker and ringer volume

Great phone. Next best thing to an iphone but more droid like. Does everything well as a smartphone should. Excellent display and great options. Downside:battery drains too fast and takes to long to charge. although charger/usb charger enables you to use it at home or in car

Great phone can't believe I had lived without this phone. Great camera, apps, facebook, and more. Only problem is the forced closure with facebook and email not really sure why i keeps doing. I hope there is a download to fix the problem. Personally think is better than my sisters iphone 4
