Much better picture quality and features than the iphone! I love it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: built in speakers not very loud

Awesome iPhone killer

This is definitely a strong competitor to the iPhone. Not as cumbersome as the iPhone. You don't have to constantly connect the Captivate to your PC or Mac to get updates. Then THEIR updates aren't even tested for more hiccups. Everytime the iPhone has an update, their is another bug that comes up. Hurray for SAMSUNG and Android for ACTUALLY testing their updates before putting them out. I know Captivate users are anxious for the 2.2, and so am I. I can't wait to see if there is a Captivate 2 in the future.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I love this phone, I just wish it had more features.

At first I didn't want to get this phone because I've never owned a touch screen phone before, and I was afraid it either wouldn't be accurate, or wouldn't be responsive enough. But when I finally decided to get it, the first time I tried the touch screen I was impressed. Not to mention how clear, and brilliant it is too. My last phone was a BlackJack 2, and the only thing I liked better about that phone was the access to all files on the phone. Where as all files are hidden on the Captivate.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Great Phone.....but.....

The phone is excellent. It is very fast with the 1 Ghz processor and is a great value for the money......HOWEVER, I am very unhappy with the length of time I have been waiting to get Froyo on this device. While the Vibrant and Epic 4g (same phone on different networks) have already gotten the update........this has not. Hence the 4 star review. With Android 2.2, this is a 5 star device all the way!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: no froyo

Great phone

I really like this phone just unfortunately I have yet to be able to watch video since almost everything requires FlashPlayer and the phone doesn't come with it and I can't download it since I can't get android 2.2.....
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no flashplayer

Shutdown and Froyo enough said

I bought this phone in August 2010 and I still have issues with shutdown and obviously froyo update. Stay away until these issues are fixed
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
