Great phone!

This is my first smart phone and I am super pleased with my purchase. I bought it while it was fairly expensive but its power is worth it. The only thing I don't like is the lack of voice control...I would think this would be standard on a phone of this caliber but apparently not...
Pros: Bright display
Cons: no voice control

I am really big into Samsung products, the last four cell phones I have owned have been Samsung. I just got the Samsung Captivate and I absolutely love it. This phone is total eye candy from the second you turn it on.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

It freezes alot but i still like it tho i choose it over the iphone4

Phone is great.... Was gonna go with I phone but was persuaded to go with Captivate couldn't have picked a better phone!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great sound from earphones

I had my last phone for 5 years and the main thing I miss about it most is having seperate notification ringtones for each of my contacts which this phone is incapable of doing.. In a time when 99 percent of usage is text messaging it should be available.. yes I can do it for voice calls but nobody calls they text get a clue and make a fix!!!
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Just what I needed

When I looked for a new phone, after much frustration with my old one freezing up, I knew I wanted a smart phone. I need email on my phone, do alot of comparision shopping while out, and work in real estate so need to access many types of information on a regular basis. I looked between the Droid and Apple versions, and was won over by the Samsung. Everyone in my family has Samsung TVs and love them, and many of my agents have Samsung smart phones. I have never heard of any complaints. I got the phone and have been extremely happy, it has made my life much easier, just being able to check my email to confirm a meeting instead of loading up my laptop is a big timesaver. This phone was very intuitive, one of the things i dont always look forward to on a new phone is having to learn everything, no problem here!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, intuitive
