very good phone. its fast. does everything. besides there is no firmware update for this. Wont be one. so yo must root it and do it your self (easy) the registration page is buggy. overall amazing phone. i have extremely happy to have. Being a computer whiz. the upgrade is no big deal but would like to hit a button on phone and do it that way.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, does it all!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Switched from Blackberry and pleasantly surprised! Super high-def screen/images, amazing speech-to-text, and smart wi-fi capability. Only minuses so far are the contacts will NOT save group assignments - or I don't know the special trick to do it. GPS locator must be weak, because it often can not locate me when my wife's iPhone is easily found, right next to me. Also, the tutorial included simply does not work! And, the battery must be recharged daily.
Otherwise, GREAT phone. Very happy, not ready to trade!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, speech-to-text
Cons: short battery life, contacts won't remember groups, gps weak - often can not locate me
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is a great phone. i especially love the android os with a Samsung flare tom it it has a nice display and feel right in the hands i have already converted two "iPhone" users to this wonderful machine
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, very personalized
Cons: expensive, no flash, poor battery life

I love this phone!! I've only had it a week and I'm having a great experience. I love how it can be customized. The color and sound are sharp and clear. Don't hesitate it's awesome

Great Phone almost

This phone is fast and works great. The camera is really great, it takes 720p video. I love the android os. There's only a few downsides. No front facing camera or flash on the back. Also for some strange reason Samsung has still not updated Android on this thing to 2.2 (Froyo) even though 2.3 (Gingerbread) is already out! I really do love this phone though, best one I've owned!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, android os, fast
Cons: no front facing camera, no flash, no froyo/gingerbread update

I had to change my old phone for a more updated version of android, and I was recommended this phone. I just Love it! It is so easy to use, the features on it are great!, and the colors are so brite not to mention it's like having your laptop with you at all times.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, large screen, awesome video recording
Cons: Not high def

"What Captivates me..."

I have used the Samsung Brand for a long time. My first Samsung was the BlackJack one. Amazing phone at the time, super durable and really simple to use. Then I upgraded to the BlackJack two and that was even more impressive and now the Captivate has all my wants and needs in one phone and its not an Iphone. Wham bam thank you mamm!
