just got this Smartphone a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE IT!!! It does everything they said and more. It is simple to use, even the touch screen with big fingers. Battery life is great. Surfing is great. Apps are great. reception is great. Screen is AWESOME!!!!! Can't wait to see what the future holds.....

This is simply one of the best android devices around, a super fast processor and gougeous screen make it a top notch device.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: gps signal is somewhat weak

Works well.... although some functions are not easily identified, and found on the phone.

I was hesitant in switching to an all-touch screen phone from one with a full, tactile keyboard, but this has put my worries to bed. Especially with the Swype feature, typing/creating text on this phone is incredibly easy. The AMOLED screen is absolutely beautiful and for the most part, it performs really fluidly. I've noticed some applications - Facebook in particular, tend to make the phone go a bit slower or even lock up for a few seconds, but I otherwise have no complaints. I've owned Samsung phones and other products before and they never disappoint.
The only thing I have an issue with is that the phone is still new, so I can't find a hard shell case/protector for it. Maybe I could submit a personal request to Skullcandy...

great design and concept, but some features are just ridiculous to learn to use for a first time smart phone owner, ie: can't connect to my pc using KIES , just plain stupid, when you plug the USB in it should automatically connect, not tell you to do something impossible.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I have Ipod Touch, so I was familiar with the touch screen technology. Samsung Captivate on Android 2.1 OS is a very good device. Android Market provides the solutions to your problems by providing the application you might be thinking of. The sound quality of music is excellent. GPS/MAP/Navigation/Street Walk applications provided by google are very good. I would say overall the phone is good.

i had a apple iphone for years,, then decided to upgrade to the iphone 4,, luckily i waited til a friend/family purchased first,, and although i liked the iphones look/feel.... what i really wanted is my own phone,,, and the samsung is a way better personal phone, you can customize it the way you want without a company telling what or how you can do to it,, and the screen is incredible, along with the speed and ease of changing things on it .... must get to appreciate...
