I was never this attached to my phone-with-the-berry-name before. The Andriod OS is fast and responsive. Many useful and cool apps that are free. There is, however, one issue. The 'Back' button is does not respond if you press on it directly; it only works if you press slightly off to the left of it. The AT&T phone tech support person told me that she has the same issue with her Captivate. It is a calibration issue. I was pulling my hair out over this problem until she advised me to press just left of the 'Back' symbol, instead of directly on it. She was right! No more problems with it -- but who would've known? Samsung needs to fix this calibration issue though.
My son and most of my friends are die hard IPhone folks; but I could never get into the "one size fits all" approach. On the other hand, many of the Android phones I checked out, were a little to "cowboy" for my taste. The Captivate offers the perfect middle ground; the ability to have everything mapped out for you, the ability to go with a completely "tailored" experience or anything in between. The swype keyboard ROCKS and the layout is very user friendly. Performance wise, it is a dead match with the Iphone, maybe even a little faster when it comes to browsing the web. I was concerned about the cam minus a flash, but the software compensates for the lack of a flash and my sunset and night time shots have been awesome! The added ability to add SDHC card up to 32GB and the fact that I can replace the battery without having to send my phone into the manufacturer are HUGE pluses. All in all, I think the future will find a lot of Iphone converts and even more first time users! GREAT DEVICE!
I love this phone!! It is very user friendly and fun. The only problem I have with it is the battery life. With apps constantly running in the background the battery life is short.
I love this phone.. It is better than the IPhone, there was problem I had with it shutting off on it's own. There is an app called Captivate Keep alive download that and all of your problems will be over. I heard that with the next update they push out it will help as well.
I love my Samsung Captivate. I traded my iPhone 3g for it. It is a great phone, but I wish Samsung would hurry up and release the Froyo update. I mean Gingerbread is coming. So Samsung is behind. Overall though I love my Captivate.
I love this phone. It has basically everything. I can surf the web. Listen to music. Make phone call, of course and take pictures. Love it, Love it, LOVE IT.
