The battery life is inadequate. Some days it requires recharging by early afternoon with normal use.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, cell phone reception
Cons: low battery life

I'm really enjoying the phone and it's features. I just think that Samsung should make a battery or a SUPER battery that won't drain easily...

A great phone with one flaw

So far the phone is great. I switched from the Iphone 4. The one problem ive noticed so far is the GPS. Its not even close to the last 4 Iphones Ive had. The software update didnt help.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, feature rich
Cons: gps reception and accuracy

Great Potential but Incomplete

This is the most fun AND the most frustrating phone I've ever owned... It (and Android) have so much potential, but they confound me at every turn. Just when I think I've found another great feature, I find it is only partially executed! How do you create a phone which behaves like a computer, but is incapable of doing the most ordinary computer function of Copy and Paste consistently? Why did I have to download a third party email client to replace the totally inadequate version that comes on the phone? This phone makes me crazy! Now I'm told the Android 2.2 update that I waited and waited for before finally breaking down and buying the phone may be pushed even further into the future... AAAAAARGH!!!!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, hardware and software not mature
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just got my captivate, i like the price for one, and also the apps i can load....the really nice thing i have found so far is the notifications and tones you get for emails and such.

The only reason I'm giving performance a 3-star is because the battery life is very short!!
