It's super fast!

It took a LOT of downloading to get the scanner to do what we needed it to do for work, but once we got past all of that, this machine flies when loading documents. I have never seen a scanner go that fast! It does not jam and it sends the documents to the destination within seconds. It is heavy duty and very efficient.

You can't use all the features

When I'm scanning 2-sided documents that are smaller than 8.5"x11", the scanner automatically flips them on the right edge instead of the left edge. I have to fix the scans in Adobe Acrobat. This problem only happens when I use the scanner's desktop software, iPrint&Scan.
When I scan to USB using the scanner's control panel, there's no option to include OCR.
When I scan to Web using the scanner's control panel, there's no option to scan in black-and-white.
There are no options to compress scans larger than 300 dpi, so they files become too large.
It's a great machine, but with limitations.

Do not recommend

Would not recommend. Interface is awful, screen is terrible. Scanner is slow and support is no good. Love my Brother printers but this expensive scanner is awful. Brother should get a Raven scanner and take note of GUI interface and scanner screen

Extremely fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother professional desktop scanner is my favorite machine for the office. It came easy to set up with very clear and precise directions. The machine is small and light, allowing me to put it almost anywhere in my office. I was very surprised how simple it was to set up and connect to my devices. The Wi-Fi works extremely well and is easy to pair. The speed at which it scans is phenomenal! I downloaded the app on my phone and the quality of each page scanned is excellent. I love the curved paper tray, making it so the papers exiting do not fly out. The input tray easily adjust to sizes and can handle multiple pages fast! I’ve never seen a scanner work so fast and be so clear with the output. I’m very pleased and recommend this scanner to anyone looking to save time in the office. Excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this a few days ago and I have already used it so much. I sometimes work from home, and I do a lot of emailing and scanning. Everything is paperless at my job. The brother desktop scanner is great, it scans a lot of paperwork at once and makes my work life at home so much easier. The set-up is very easy, it only took me about 10 minutes to set it up and get started. If you are thinking about buying this product, you should, you will not be disappointed.

It does not take any time for the machine to scan the file and send it to the computer. The touch screen display makes using the scanner a breeze. Highly recommend!
