The very best sheetfed scanner made! Home run!!

This sheetfed scanner offers very easy output automation for your 600dpi color or monochrome scans at a stunning 60 to to 120 pages per minute, depending on color settings. I love the machine’s silence, minimal footprint, and beautiful touch screen - but for me, the simplicity of its vast output options are what defines the ADS-4900W as the very best. I was able to set up both scan to a network storage and to a SharePoint site within minutes using preset options, and there are MANY other options and automations that are a tap away on the high resolution touch screen. Brother truly covered all bases with the ADS-4900W’s design and it can be integrated into absolutely any workflow system easily. The quality of the scans is also quite remarkable. When I use the ADS-4900W I wonder where it has been all my life - it is a valued time saver and huge quality enhancement to my work, and I am certainly not alone!

Bitter-Sweet with a grain of salt

Its super-fast, image quality is amazing, however there are no compression controls making the files too big to send over e-mail. must use google drive to pivot files around.
It's extremely archaic software interphase and it is very hard to upgrade, even when connecting the USB cable directly to the computer... definitely not a plug and play.
The phone-app is actually good, it's the reason I did not return the machine and made it possible to manage its practical use.

Great for busy medical offices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this Brother ADS-4900W scanner in our busy medical practice. With medical records being predominantly electronic these days, we often have a need to scan and upload a large volume of outside reports and records into our EMR software. This scanner is able to scan and upload a high volume of paper very quickly. Set up was’t too complicated or time consuming. The unit itself is compact and takes up a minimal amount of desk space and runs pretty quietly. There are lots of options to customize this scanner, including a workgroup feature, and the ability to scan from an IPhone or Android phone. There are also several scan-to options that include email and cloud capabilities. Even with the basic default settings, this machine is a real workhorse.

I was actually expecting it to be larger but it is easy to move and can fit right on my desk. It is light and easy to move also. It has a nice display screen. I love that I am able to send the documents right to my email and it show up within a minute.

I scan a lot of documents daily working from home and this scanner has been able to keep up with the workload. It is very quick and easy. I used to use an app on my phone and have to email it to myself to get it on my computer and now with this there is no need and it’s so much easier. I am very happy with this scanner.

Easy Setup, Fast Scanning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Brother ADS-4900W Professional Desktop Scanner was a great addition to my peripheral devices and is now an essential component in my home office setup. This printer zips thru scanning multiple documents with a 100 page capacity feeder and blazing 60 page per minute. I was quite surprised at how fast it scanned documents at high quality. It even handles stacks of paper with various sizes and weights with ease. The 4.3” color touchscreen display is super bright, easy to read, easy to use, and conveniently place right in the front middle of the scanner. Wireless setup was a breeze and connecting to it wirelessly was just as easy. In fact, I didn't even need the instruction manual to go from manual setup to wireless printing. It literally took a few minutes and I was done. Furthermore, I was able to setup the scanner to scan to my applications Google Drive™ and to my email. The OCR feature is most impressive and the software the come with it allows you to scan to searchable PDF's. This is the product I never thought I needed and I'm so very impressed with it.

Fast and efficient!

I love how compact this system is. It is very easy to unpack and set up. The convenience of being able to fit on smaller desks or surfaces is wonderful. The machine works extremely fast and proficient. One page to multiple pages T this machine has never let me down. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to save time while scanning in the office or home.

Terrific and a power tool!

It is a power tool and it's easy yo use; it has some issues with the PC software, like when the size of the files is too big, the program crashes, otherwise it works for demanding work, and it looks like a pro tool in the office too and not that bulky. The mobile app is really useful so you can save the files wherever you need to.
