This is my 2nd Netgear Nighthawk. I was pleased with my first one and I am equally as pleased with this one. The only reason I needed to buy this one was my old one was no longer receiving firmware updates. Works as expected and have no issues.

All of the devices in my house were able to connect to the Wi-Fi 7 router, except my older desktop computer. Wired or wireless the desktop would not connect. Performed the normal updates to router , still no success. My workaround was to hardwire connect old Netgear router to new Wi-Fi router. At least my desktop can connect wirelessly. Perhaps a new Wi-Fi card is needed for desktop. That is a project for 2026

Great router and easy to setup using the NightHawk app. I have the RS200, RS300 and now the RS500 router. All are great routers, but the RS500 is the best. You can't go wrong with any of these routers.

Prior to purchasing this router, i was getting about 60mbps to my device when i was running 400mbps internet. I knew my router was the issue and decided to purchase this. Currently running 1Gig internet speed and i’m now getting about 960mbps to my devices with this router. Highly recommend this product, the internet range on this is great too. The setup was very easy to follow to as well.

My home network is completely different, revitalized and I’m finally able to leverage the full bandwidth I pay for. Hardwired and wireless devices are connecting and moving data at 3x or faster speeds. I love the new design and the construction is solid. It was well worth the investment.
