With the nighthawk app, there’s no guess work in setting this router up. Plug it in, give it time to load and update then connect devices. Use the same SSID and password as old router and devices connect automatically. As a network engineer specializing in WiFi deployments, this was easier than ever to get up and running!

Better Than I Though

I received notice that my older Nighthawk router was no longer going to be supported, so I decided to purchase a new router with an extender. I purchased RS500 and it opened up our entire home to great wifi coverage for our 3 TV's and multiple computers and consoles. This system was easy to set up by simply using the Nighthawk App; and the range of coverage is far superior to our previous Nighthawk Router. I'm sorry I didn't get the RS500 sooner.
I recommend the RS500 router for your consideration. I works great and I got it at a very reasonable price.

Replaced an older Netgear wifi router since Netgear was no longer supporting it. The new, RS500 was easy to setup and has worked great. The router handles my fiber, 1 GB service easily. I have multiple devices continuously connected including cameras, door locks, smart TVs, several computers, iPads and phones and never saw a drop in wifi. But in order to filter MAC addresses you must subscribe to Netgear’s parental controls. Now that’s some BS! MAC filtering is a standard feature, for free, on just about every other brand of wifi router. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

After receiving the router, set-up was easy using the Nighthawk app. The broadcast range is an improvement our previous NetGear router. The 6GHz band is very fast for our WiFi 7 devices. I am pleased with the purchase.
