My previous router was not up to date to I purchased the RS500. It was SUPER EASY to set up - only took about 15 minutes total. Working great and all of my deviced are protected!

Easy setup working well but beware of auto enroll

I setup this new router in about an hour. Turned out to be quite easy. I then repurposed my old NetGear router as an access point to extend wireless capability around my home. Still working great after a week or so. Next step will be to make a couple of tweaks but so far, so good. Taking off 1 star for Netgear auto enrolling me in NetGear Armor and then making me unsubscribe to auto renewal. I do NOT like that business model.

Effortless Performance

The title is a great start. This router makes performance look EFFORTLESS! I wish I could attach a screenshot. My ISP provided WiFi 7 router (Sp****um) would only give me speeds of 400-600 Mbps while paying for a gig. My RS500 effortlessly gives me 1090 Mbps! I keep using the word effortless because set up was SO easy, the security is top notch, and and the speed is always at max. The signal is super strong and stable with the MU-MIMO capability too! I was to reiterate security too though. I signed up for Netgear Armor and within 3 days, I saw port scan threats blocked from China and France in the middle of the night. About 10 total! The router blocked the port scan requests, keeping me safe. The IPs tracked back to a government building in China and the France one was just a neighborhood. But I'd love to see your ISP router do that!

Its coverage is not what I had with their prior products. I am a bit disappointed as though their expectations do not meet my expectations.Very minimal coverage for what is advertised. My prior NetHawak devices were far superior. A lot of money for what older Nethawk devises delivered previously. Not impressed!
