It was difficult to set up. Downloaded app; began the process by unplugging old router. But without internet, how can use the app? No printed instructions; the device just didn't go. 3 hours later, I had a work around using my laptop & cellphone.

I had the previous model and it worked without a twitch for years. I just got this a couple of weeks ago and it continues to disconnect and have issues. Stay away.

My old router was out of date. They offered me 20% off a new one that they recommended. It works great with my old modem. It wasn’t that difficult to setup too.

I just setup the Nighthawk WiFi 7 RS500 Router replacing my older R7960P - Nighthawk X6S AC3600 Tri-Band WiFi Router after being notified that firmware service updates for it had ended. My older router was working just fine but I replaced it so I can maintain the latest firmware updates.
The Nighthawk App setup program walked me through the process, and made it very easy to setup the new router. Can't say anything about the performance and longevity just yet as I just set it up, but based upon my older router, I am hopeful it will provide the same level of service I enjoyed with the old router.

Best router to buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a top tier router you can count on. My previous router was a NETGEAR Nighthawk. We had to for 8 yrs and the only reason we replaced it was it wouldn't work with the newer tech that is available now for fiber. We moved it to home.
