Upgraded from a Netgear WiFi5 r8900 router. Set up to the RS500 was seem less via the Nighthawk app. Set up the same network names, primary and guest with the same passwords, and all wireless devices connected automatically.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded my Nighthawk R8000 which was over 5yrs old with the new RS500 WiFi 7 and immediately after installing I noticed the difference in speed and range.
If you are looking to upgrade and not break your bank, this is the one RS500.

Man...if you have a small business or just alot of people who come around your house, this one is for you. It has everything you need, plus some. The "guest wifi" option is great.

Upgraded Router to RS500

Setup was easy if you're familiar with netgear. I was able to connect my extender flawlessly to this model as well vs my previous r7000 router that was 10 years old. Range has gotten better and this was worth the price. I'd recommend to anyone looking to upgrade. It includes a 2.5gb port and 4 additional 1gb ports which works great for my setup.
