I did not know if I would need an Orbi system to cover my house. I did not like the price on the Orbi system, so I opted to try the RS500. I am very happy with it. I have great coverage throughout my 3600 square foot house.

It’s always a hassle to set up a new router with all the devices in the home these days. Aside that the router covers our entire 2500 sq ft home fine and little to no latency on anything. I like the product design as well.

Net Gear WiFi 7 Router (RS500)

It was Five years since I bought my last router a Netgear as well. Needed a new one to keep up with the changes in the technology. It works like a champ and it actually improved the picture quality of my tv. So it has worked great and easy to set up

Fast Router, Easy Setup

This is my second NetGear Nighthawk. After increasing my fiber speed I wanted to get a beefier router. The setup was super easy, the longest part was updating the software. Other than that, follow the instructions and the setup will go smoothly. Because I was already using a Netgear unit I was able to reuse the network name and password, which meant I didn't need to re-connect all of the devices in my home. The new unit is super fast - I've seen my upload and download speed increase by 4x with the RS500.
The Nighthawk phone app that is included is a great tool. The app allows you to see the devices on your network - easily shutting off those not in use. It also allows you to setup and manage a guest network for friends and family visiting your home. I also love using Netgear Armour to scan and monitor the devices in my home. Fast, powerful router!

Much needed upgrade

I struggled with good WiFi coverage in my house with so many devices. Since buying the RS500 I’ve noticed a drastic difference in WiFi connection as well as speeds. Certainly couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for high end WiFi. Shouldn’t need to upgrade a device for quite a handful of years.

Nighthawk RS500

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Nighthawk RS500 router and the Nighthawk CM3000 Multi-gig modem and, for the first time, I’m finally getting the speeds I’m paying for from Comcast (sometimes even more speed than I’m paying for coming into the house). I replaced an old Arris Surfboard router/modem combo that I wasn’t too pleased with where I was getting about a tenth of the 1Gig plan I was paying for. The RS500 was easy to set up; the Nighthawk app walked through all of the steps (I just had to add the new device through my internet provider first). The app makes it easy to test performance, manage devices (or see what band they’re connected to), and make a guest network. I was using Wi-Fi 5 before and the leap to Wi-Fi 7 has been a drastic difference for me. I only have a few devices that support the 6 GHz band, but they are insanely fast when they’re getting it. The Smart Connect is seamless; I’m always getting the best internet the router can give me wherever I am in the house.
