The Netgear Nighthawk AS500 was one of the easiest routers to set up I’ve ever experienced. So far, it coverage is great, even thru some challenging aluminum siding and plaster walls in my house. It instantly recognizes WiFi devices and, after passwords are entered, connects with them seamlessly. I’ve set up and used home WiFi routers from most other manufacturers and this by far has been the best experience. I HIGHLY recommend the Nighthawk, its start in my home has BY FAR been the smoothest and quickest.

Great Value for the Money

I have owned several Netgear Routers over the years. I recently replaced Nighthawk 8000 with the RS500. The 8000 had been in service for over 10 years, and is still working reliably. Due technology advancements, I purchased the RS500 to replace it. The process went smoothly, using my Netgear account to transfer my settings from the old router to the new one. This saved me a lot of time getting things configured as I wished. I expect I will get many years of good service from the RS500.

The performance/speed is by far mind-blowing to me compared to the speeds that I was getting on my old netgear model. And lastly the security measures it takes of scanning newly connected devices, that definitely brings peace of mind!

This product is great, easy to install and get connected. My husband and I were struggling with slow intermitently poor internet but with the installation of this unit all out issues were solved.
So glad it was an easy intallation and hook up as we are not spring chickens and not techies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I like it, I really like the app because you can customize so many different things for your router to keep it running smoothly. The router is holding up strong for everything that I am throwing at it. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone and everyone who is looking for a new router.

Made huge difference in my multiplayer gaming. I play fifa and kept lagging every online match before I got this router. After installing this lagging was over with and my ping was really low!

Confused at first, Awesome after.

I have owned many Netgear products over the years. This one had me confused at first. Only my phone would have internet. Couldn't get other devices (phones, tablets, rokus, computers) to work with it. I started reading reviews on amazon. 70% were positive. 30% were less than stellar reviews. I figured I was doing something wrong. I tried the nighthawk app. It kept stalling. I tried a hard reset or the router. Again no dice. I couldn't interface the setup page via wifi. I finally hard wired to a computer and went through the setup. All previous Netgear routers I have owned were in a sense plug

Fast product, coverage is ok

The signal speed is extremely fast, however I think the range is lacking. The beam forming antennas could be better for this price. The advantage is the raw throughput speed is significantly faster than other routers or mesh, thanks to tri band WiFi 7. I would recommend this for 2-3 bedroom home
