Router is good but you must be patient with the set up.

The RS500 WiFi router has functioned well thus far at about 2 weeks since install. I rate it 4 stars due to set up problems. My only issue with it is that while using the App to set it up, the App required repeating of set up steps even though it was "talking" to the router and then it wasn't. After 2-3 attempts I was able to do the basic install. To try to avoid further problems I completed the router set-up by logging into the router; that worked, but still with some step repeats necessary, regarding naming the 3 bands. Now all appears well. I do like the ability to turn off the front LED's.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exactly what we needed

We have zero cell signal where we live and even using WiFi calling, our Internet service provider's router would not perform well enough to allow calls in or out. Immediately upon coming online, the Nighthawk RS500 performed perfectly. We can now make calls in and out without any issues.

I've always had great success with Netgear. My Orbi was no longer supported so this was the choice and I couldn't be happier! Internet is blazing now compared to what it was..no more buffering..and a breeze to set up. THANKS!!

Intuitive Product, Easy Setup
