I have a 24-port network switch and encountered issues configuring my Orbi Satellite to use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi, as my wireless network was unstable, causing frequent disconnections on multiple devices. To resolve this, I purchased an Ethernet extender adapter, enabling a direct, stable Ethernet connection from my Orbi router to the room hosting the Satellite. The Orbi has been flawless ever since!

The device itself seems to be of good build quality and definitely larger than the orbi ax5400 I had. Setup was easy and after initial setup didn't experience any drops or slowness. Devices experience slower speeds when connected to the satellite. Orbi mobile app is less desirable and I wish orbi would re-instate the device access control to he handled through the web portal as well. Also the orbi app takes long time to connect to the router. I hope the device lasts me couple of year's of service. It's a good buy when on sale.

Very Efficient Connectivity Than Previous Orbi Series

I just upgraded from the 860 series to the 770's a few weeks ago. I am fairly happy with the purchase but gave it a 4-star. I gave it that rating because there are some quirks about the series that took me a few weeks to understand.
One issue I had was having the router and satellite too close to each other. Whereas the 860 series devices were located in the same places, the 770's are much more powerful and therefore needed different positioning, which took me a week or more to figure out.
I also had questions about the Wired Backhaul vs. WiFi Backhaul. Using the wired backhaul turned out to be much more effective than the wireless setup. Again I believe that was part of the positioning situation.
As of now, I am happy with the system, it gives me much better coverage than the 860's. I am also impressed with the throughput on my Apple iPhone 16's. Much better connection and handoffs throughout the house and much faster.

Very easy to set up. Wonderful Coverage in the home. This is my 3rd Orbi and I am very pleased with this one so far. I switched over to fiber optic and this works very well with my internet service. I even see a little faster speed on my computer. Glad I made the purchase.

This is the third Orbi system in a row that I've bought and I like them a lot. Easy to set up and they work seamlessly and are easy to set and forget. My Mac occasionally will not connect to this version for a few seconds. If I restart it's wireless it works fine, but periodically it will just drop. No issues with iPad or iPhone, but I'm also on my computer much more often.
