Top Notch Technically

I am an electronic engineer with a good deal of experience in protecting sensitive electronic equipment from transient voltage spikes on the incoming utility line. 1st .. nothing will protect equipment from a direct lightning strike. Fortunately, those are quite rare. But not so rare are transient voltage spikes which can be caused by nearby lightning hits or just by utilities switching circuits and power correction equipment. The entire line of TrippLite surge suppressors do about as good a job as possible in trapping these nuisance surges. TrippLite has not cut corners on the guts of these units. I feel they are amongst the best available. I have them on ALL my sensitive electronics, TVs, ham radio equipment, etc. No problems so far. Highly recommended. (But I also unplug stuff if there is a really "hot" lightning storm passing through).

The ultrablok428 zapped my internet radio noise.

I had a problem with hisses and pops when I listened to internet radio. My receiver was noise free with hifi system and full noise with another system. CD, turntable were noise free with both systems. So, I researched my options on the net. Most solutions cost hundred of $. The reviews of tripplite products indicated that problems were solved, price was reasonable, and they were well built. I decided to buy the ultrablok428. When I listened to internet radio through the 428 I heard music--the noise was gone. I was so pleased with the product that I ordered two more 428's and the isobar home theater surge suppressor. Tripplite has quality products at reasonable prices.

I bought this to use with my water cooler. The previous water cooler had been plugged into an outlet only and after a summer power surge was fried. So this time around I am using the Tripp Lite Ultrablok and it has been working like a charm. We had a bad storm a couple weeks ago and my neighbors small appliances were all fried...I have everything on various Tripp Lite products and we had no issues. Very happy.

I live on Molokai in Hawaii which is kinda third world. We rarely have lightening strikes here, but the power from the diesel power plant goes out all the time. I have been afraid every time it is restored, the surge will ruin my appliances, computers etc. so we have been unplugging them. Pain in the neck! We now have Tripp Lite Ultrablock isobar suppressors all over the house. They seem to be so well constructed, I am confident we will not have any problems in the future. Thanks of making such a high quality product.

My Isobar Ultrablock-428 did just what it was supposed to do during some foul weather a few weeks ago. Our city power was fluctuating rapidly during heavy rain/lighting and one of the protection elements in the isobar took the hit and protected my TV/cable/vcr. I have used surge suppressors for years and have never seen one "do its job" and have often wondered if they were mostly hype. I can attest now that the Isobar works as advertised and have shown pictures of it to quite a few people. (I took the case off and saw a burned up device.) Thanks for making a great product.

Solid product - more robust than cheap options

This is on our refrigerator to protect it from frequent surges, mostly due to power outages...but also to prevent 'dirty' power when we need to use our gas generator. Last fridge died (compressor) after just 5 years...maybe bad quality but I think more due to no surge protection. That's a pricey item to replace! Hopefully the new fridge will last a lot longer!

I have had at least 2 other Tripplite products and could not be happier. We are using the Isobar unit for our washer and dryer. We never gave much thought to all the electronics in these new appliances until the washer developed problems that were very expensive to correct. The repairman strongly suggested we get a surge protector and that is exactly what I did. Now we are resting comfortably knowing that the sensitive electronics are protected from surges.
