Recently switched from Direct TV to streaming. Chose roku due to have a non smart TV. Love being able to have the same remote device for all our TV s. So far have not had any issues using Roku. Seems easy enough to use.

Terrible Remote

We have purchased 2 remotes and the down button on both doesn’t work half the time - if it does work we have to stand directly in front of the device and push very hard to get the down button to work. Have tried resetting on both to no avail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good product, easy to use, small, responsive, low power consumption, nice that the remote is RF instead of IR. Shame it can't control an AVR. The apps malfunction sometimes but I assume that's not the Roku's fault. For some reason it doesn't have a setting to turn off the light in the front.
I didn't want to connect my new smart TV to the internet because of privacy concerns, so this is a good alternative.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I finally was ready to cancel cable tv. This is my 3rd Roku device, one for each tv in my house. There is a huge selection of movies & shows. I don't miss cable at all especially the bill. Great product!

8 month old Roku failed

My last Roku failed after 8 months. I wrote Roku and the said they received my email and would get back to me. That was Dec 15th. Still nothing. Don’t buy Roku they have terrible customer service buy fire stick.

I want my old Roku back, this one doesn’t airplay videos and it keeps blacking out every 10 seconds when I’m on the menu!!
