I own a now defunct Roku device- it is a doorstop

I think it is criminal how Roku can sell devices that have a life of 3-5 years before Netflix/Roku decide to move on to new software etc that isn't compatible with current devices.
Our current roku streaming system is now officially LANDFILL per a Netflix change... it is ridiculously wasteful to create products to last this short amount of time. Disgusting.

Very Slow and Glitchy

This model may be more affordable, but as ROKU users since 2012 with multiple units, we can report it's not worth it. It's very slow and glitchy compared to the Premier or Ultra. Just pay the extra $ and get one of those. Many channels can barely work with how slow this model is.

Overwhelming flaw making it useless

This device worked great for about a year. Then it stopped. Nothing will reset the device. It's stuck on the bouncing Roku logo. After a great deal of research and troubleshooting, there is nothing that can fix it. It's useless. Apparently, this is a HUGE problem with the Roku Express 4K+. DO NOT BUY!

We have had our Roku device fir several months now and enjoy it very much. A Spectrum tech support guy recommended it when I was having problems getting Spectrum TV app on my Amazon TV. I am OK figuring out tech stuff but not my wife. She picked right up on it and no problem navigating through it. She likes the variety of programs available. So I can highly recommend this product.

Loves to flip out and make ypu reset out of nowher

Make sure you have a great HDMi connector. The one that comes with it is a joke and you have messages that pop up about TV quality. Out of nowhere Roku says it's not connected and you have to reset everything. It's annoying. I'm trying to remind the age ratings. It seems that may be new. But if I can only find it again. It's nice to have one remote till it flips out than keep the other remote handy. I do like when it tells you the battery is going down before it dies.
